The Royals of Monterra: Royal Masquerade (Kindle Worlds Novella) by Carly Carson
Alessandra Ranieri is forced to adopt a name that isn't really hers, when she returns to Monterra to claim an inheritance...that isn't really hers. She's certain that her Romany grandmother left her the property nestled in the foothills of the Monterran Alps that Raul needs to develop his ski resort.

Raul Forli, heir to the dukedom of Forli, is determined to unmask Alessandra's masquerade. He knows she's lying. More importantly, he needs the same prize she's claiming, and he's sure that his need is more desperate than hers. Because the duke is not all he seems, either. And he's got nothing to lose.

This battle will be fiercely waged.

Although not in a court of law.

But in the hearts of Alessandra and her fairy-tale duke.

Reviewers have said this about Carly Carson's contemporary romance novels:

Heather Andrews rated it 5 of 5 stars [Top 1000 reviewer on Amazon]
I loved this book, it was sassy smart, and had some naughty bits to it! I really loved this book, I don't know how many times I can say it, it kept me entertained all the way through. (Duke of Devonwood)

Romantic Times: This clever plot is enhanced by witty dialogue and entertaining secondary characters. (Scarlet and the Sheriff)

Romance Junkies: The way they interact with each other had me snickering one minute and hot and bothered the next. This debut title rocks. (Scarlet and the Sheriff)

Patty McKenna Van Hulle: Ms. Carson had many "PULL THE FIRE ALARM" scenes and I had to steal her "Thump & Dump" saying in the review. She must have a quirky, kooky and slightly sleazy mind, because that is what she created in this hilarious, one of a kind, EVERYONE'S business is hanging out and steamy love story. Ms. Carson gets my top score of 5 fingers up and 10 toes. I can't wait to read the next one. (Duke of Devonwood)

Romance Junkies Reviewer Chris Mead: When a prospective job applicant is mistaken for a call girl, things go seriously wrong. ECLIPSE OF THE HEART is at times humorous, and at others, gut-wrenching. Carly Carson has penned a delightfully sensuous and seductive romance that is perfect for your summer beach bag. (Eclipse of the Heart)
