Steele got a surprise as she went to her first class of the day. Her professor, Tanner Goldstein, was a top criminal lawyer as well as her teacher. The details on the man were that he had dark personal activities he was into, and how the three women in the case were all bound and strangled to death.
Steele found herself unsure if she should be in on the case if the man really did murder the women. As they waited in Mr. Sloan’s office for him she was astonished to find the man who’d introduced himself to her as A.C. the night before was the man being considered for the murder of the three women who frequented BDSM clubs and had been his subs at one time.
Arsen didn’t act like he knew her at all and it bothered Steele more than she thought it would. After the meeting and gaining the cell numbers of the two students interning on the case, Arsen called Steele and asked for a private meeting with just her.
Steele was picked up by Arsen’s car and taken to his home where the two didn’t meet so much to discuss his case as his interest in her and what she thinks about that. Steele finds her mind doesn’t seem to do much thinking when she’s in his sexy and dominating presence, a thing she’s worried about.
Arsen introduces his first rules to her and asks her to enter into a relationship with him, though not a dom/sub contract yet, he is trying to get to that.
