Southern Exposure by Lari Smythe, Caitlin Smith
Void of human memory, Izzy loathes the monster she has become. Her sole purpose is to find and destroy the vampire that created her. She is a reluctant member of the Faulkner family, a coven that observes an alternative way of existence. Unfortunately for Izzy, the Faulkners also abide by strict rules forbidding contact with humans. In her mid teens, by human years, Izzy wants to attend classes at the local high school in hopes of secretly rekindling her human memory and the truth to her sadistic demise.
Jason Whitaker and his mother recently moved East to her hometown of Boonsboro. Gone are Jason's sun filled days surfing and cruising the beach with his friends. Now, in this small, rural community he is an outsider. Even on the football field he is second-string, and the nickname 'Hollywood' seems likely to keep him on the social sidelines as well.
Izzy's thirst for the handsome, tanned outsider with irresistible eyes combined with Jason's attraction to the mysterious, pale Emo girl will trigger events that neither could possibly foresee. Star crossed lovers? Not even close.
