Susanna spied movement down to her right, on the back side of a pond that was skirted by tall blade grass. She slowed her horse to a walk and saw that it was a man. He was about fifty yards away from her, but she didn't recognize him or the horse he was riding. Yet from this distance there was one thing she could see...

He was seated astride his horse wearing a beautiful pale blue, pearl snap work shirt that was neatly pressed. He had the snaps at his wrists undone and the sleeves were rolled up exposing tanned, muscular forearms. His hair was blond where wisps of it peeked out from underneath his black Stetson. His tanned face was strikingly handsome with piercing blue eyes set among high chiseled cheekbones and a perfect bow-like mouth.
