Amish Inspirational: Benjamin in the Big City: A Rumspringa Romance (Amish 9/11)
Arwilda Allshouse

Just before the start of the year 2001 Benjamin goes to NYC.
Benjamin had always thought he would stay Amish, marry an Amish woman, and raise Amish children, but a random argument with his Daed causes him to go on a Rumspringa that he had never thought he would take. In NYC he finds himself questioning everything about his narrow Amish life and what it really means to be Christian and apart from the world.
His faith will be tested and tested again, by race and by violence and by loneliness and love...until the final test which he, like so many Americans will never forget.
Can he forgive? And what about justice? What about love?
He asks is it even possible for him to be ex-Amish?
Is it possible for a NYC girl to love him, a simple Amish farm boy?
Is it possible to truly be colorblind and have a best friend who is African American?
Is it possible to return violence with peace?
For any Christian who ever asked, where were you, God?
For every American who wondered if God has His hand on the pulse of a nation, this book will ask the questions. The answers lie only in the mind of God, and perhaps in the hearts of believers.
