Bearly Gone: Foxhollow Den #3 by Kizzie Waller
An unwanted protector…

Six months ago Caroline Wright fled Foxhollow to mend her damaged pride and escape her overbearing family. But an ex-fiancé with a grudge has tracked her down, and his sinister plans include making her pay for the humiliation she and her family caused after their ruined wedding.

Caroline isn’t one of Smoke’s usual search and rescue missions. First, she doesn’t want to be found. Second, she doesn’t want to be rescued. And third, the sexy, stubborn she-bear has him doubting his loner existence as he considers the chance at a forever mate. Keeping her safe proves much easier than keeping her out of his arms.

This is a romance novella, and while it is a complete story, it is the third in a connected series about the Alaskan Wright and Taylor families. The story may be more enjoyable if read in order:
