Frankenstein Darcy: A Pride and Prejudice Paranormal by Cass Grix
Pride and Prejudice meets Frankenstein. When he first comes to Hertfordshire, Frankenstein Darcy is a man of secrets, wanting to find peace. Falling in love with a provincial nobody is not in his plans. Elizabeth Bennet is both intrigued by this tall, dark, handsome stranger and infuriated by his arrogance. Neither of them realize how dangerous falling in love can be.

Excerpt: Miss Bennet let her breath out in a hiss and flinched with pain. Her beautiful eyes opened.

Thank God, Darcy prayed.

"Mr. Darcy?" she said in confusion. "My head hurts."

She tried to sit up, but he pressed on her shoulder to keep her horizontal. "Shh, Miss Bennet," he said calmly. "You have fallen and hit your head. You need rest. Lie still."

"Where am I?"

"At Netherfield."

She was confused. "I don't remember. Did I come to see Jane?"

That would explain her presence. "I think so," Darcy said. "But now you will be a patient as well." He turned to Bingley and his sister. "She is going to need to lie down for at least a day or two, possibly more. Can you put her up in a room next to her sister?"

"Yes, of course," Bingley said. "Whatever she needs."

But Miss Bingley who was beginning to be alarmed by an invasion of Bennets, said, "Wouldn't she be better at Longbourn with her own family?"

"No," Darcy said. "I must keep her under observation for two days and she should not be moved. Even simple head injuries can be fatal."

Elizabeth frowned. "Are you a doctor, Mr. Darcy?"

"Yes."

She closed her eyes wearily. "You have an appalling bedside manner. Go away."
