Can't Stand the Heat by Keelan Ellis
Sean O'Mara has been a chef at a trendy Boston restaurant for the past eight months, but still feels less than comfortable in his job, due to a difficult boss, a competitive industry, and his own insecurities. Dorian Granville, the new pastry chef and an old friend of Sean's terrible boss, is hired and immediately rubs Sean the wrong way. He seems cocky and superior, and Sean is certain Dorian is after the promotion he feels he's earned. Worst of all, Sean becomes increasingly aware of his own strong attraction to Dorian, despite his certainty that the new chef is not only straight, but also a complete jerk.

Sean starts out with a simple, mostly harmless prank on Dorian's first day, but it quickly escalates. Their mutual friend Julie tries to play peacemaker, but this leads to a misunderstanding that causes even more hostility. Sean lets his anger get the best of him and goes too far, which leads to Dorian's dismissal. Sean tries to fix the disaster he's caused and come to terms with the feelings he can no longer deny, but it's up to Dorian to decide whether he can forgive him.
