Stolen by a former love with the intention of marriage. Gunshots and injuries traveling through the canyon to Wolf Creek. Ellie wonders about her life going to the ranch north of Cascade, Montana. The ranch is four miles from Saint Peter's Mission. The mission was started by the Jesuits and operated by the nuns.. It is a school for Native American girls funded by the federal government. Close to the ranch, Birdcall Ridge and Skull Butte were visible. The ranch sat at the base of a mountain on Birch Creek with trees surrounding it. A grand house complemented the property. A hope for a wedding, finally.
