Max wandered through the Canadian wilderness with no particular destination in mind but is found by another like himself and brought to a small cabin in the woods where he met a man who would change his life forever.
Unlike regular men, Viktor was a wolf-shifter, able to transform into the embodiment of the wolf at will - a rare trait that Max can appreciate. Wolves had historically been hunted and forced out of the confines of the human environment.
