Annalee Bishop has no idea of what to do when her husband suddenly dies, especially since she’s pregnant. Widower David Boyles knows that he needs help with his precious little girl. She has a terminal illness that requires around-the-clock care, which he cannot offer if he wants to keep his farm working and producing. Now that his wife is gone, he must make a decision: find someone to help, or lose everything he loves most in life for a second time.
The beautiful pregnant widow does not yet have his heart, but she cares for his Julie and will be a good mother to her during her last moments on Earth. A marriage of convenience is the obvious choice, but he hopes that someday they will come to mean more to each other than a name.
