Mail Order Bride: The Orphan Bride's Love by Samantha HOPE
Sometimes, all a girl needs is a trip down south.

Ashley Parker loves her life in Chicago. Her job at a lovely publishing company has her excited to go into work every morning, and she adores the people and chaos that fill her time there. But one morning when she steps into work, she finds the building nearly empty. When her boss tells her that the company is bankrupt, she is heartbroken. This job was her whole life. What is she going to do now?

Distraught, she turns to her best friend Angel for guidance. Immediately, Angel suggests that Ashley come visit her and her family in Texas so she has a little time to rest and figure out her next move. Although she is nervous about traveling all the way down south, Ashley is excited to see her childhood friend and escape her woes in Chicago for a while.

When she arrives at the Texas airport, Angel is there to pick her up, and the women revel in happiness. However, their lightheartedness is cut short when the two meet up with George, Angel’s brother. Ashley always had a crush on him when they were kids, but her old, forgotten feelings return with full force the moment she lays eyes on him. There is just one problem: he’s engaged.

As she adjusts to life in Texas, Ashley attempts to quell her feelings for George, but they keep influencing her words and actions. Much to her dismay, her unrequited love begins to drive a wedge between her and George. Did Ashley leave her problems in Chicago only to find a whole new set in Texas?
