The chemistry between the two main characters was ELECTRIC -- even before they met! What captivated me most was the especially witty, clever and snappy dialog. I loved the way Ariel interacted within her office setting where she was a paralegal-extraordinaire; she confidently had control of her realm, but totally without arrogance. The story moved right along with wonderfully light and exuberant energy. I loved the book, just for those things. Fun, energetic characters, and action, too. This is the first in the series. Very well-edited; a pleasure to read for this reason, too. This series is going to be fabulous -- I can just feel it, based on these well-defined, exciting and lovable characters. It was obvious the author was really having fun writing this one!

I loved this book. It has everything I love to read, magic, romance, action and downright loveable characters. I suggest you buy the second one at the same time you buy this one. You will anyway, why not do it now??? I bought the second one after midnight when I finished this one. Kept me up all night, lol. Loved, loved, loved it!

I waited a week on pins and needles for this book to come out after finishing The witch, and it was well worth the wait! The chemistry between Ariel and Chad is Amazing. These are characters you will most certainly fall in love with! Mrs. Roughton is a superb author who has created a world you will want to get lost in with characters who blow your mind! I can't wait to read the next in the series!!
