Saporosity: The Story of Luke and Lana by Rachel Blake
Lana Harrington is fresh out of college and ready to take on the world. Or so she thought until her life of privilege is suddenly stripped from her leaving her homeless, jobless and broke. Enter Luke Dayton; moody, sulky and extremely talented. This up and coming chef is looking for the right person to help him with his lifelong dream of opening his very own restaurant. Lana’s snarky and energetic personality mixes with Luke’s grumpy demeanor like oil and vinegar.

"It's ugly." I scoff.

"It is not ugly. It's abstract."

"I don't even know what I'm looking at." Luke tilts his head as he stares at the canvas. I have a row of artwork set out for him to approve for the dining area.

"You aren't supposed to know what you're looking at." He looks at me like I'm crazy.

"Then what's the point?"

"To use your imagination. It's supposed to be thought provoking."

"So now I have to think about what I'm looking at?"

"Yes. I know it's hard for you to do that sometimes." He narrows his eyes at me and I try to hide my smirk.

"It’s perfect for the bar area. Please just trust me." He rolls his eyes.

"Fine. Pick whatever you want," he says before walking back into the kitchen. I refrain from doing a happy dance of victory. He's been relenting more and more and I'm not sure if it's because he trusts my judgement or doesn't want to argue with me. I get my way whatever the case and that’s always a win in my book.

They come from two different worlds and prove that opposites don’t always attract, or do they?
