Pearl moves to Cascade Montana to help her widowed sister. Pearl, a seamstress helps a bullwhacker dress to impress. The gypsies following a murder take Pearl, they want death to Pearl. A handsome rancher captures her heart. She marries him and moves to the country. The ranch is close to Square Butte and Saint Peter's Mission. The honeymoon requires bringing an old woman back to Montana with them. Pearl has repeated Indian encounters. An Indian girl enters her life. A black man and an Indian woman help save Pearl from slavery or worse.
