Ellis was different.
Stoic and rarely smiling, he was subdued for a fairy. He didn’t care for the pranks of the others or their ridiculous games. When his thistle flower home was destroyed, he made a new home near a human that was just as different as himself. He was wary at first, this was a human after all, but quickly realised they were much the same. It was almost like owning a pet.
Who wanted a pretty but dumb bird as a pet when one could have this odd but endearing human?
And when disaster strikes, Ellis would give everything to see his human safe.
