Prairie Dog is in love with Amber, the wife of his best friend, Dancing Wind. Because Prairie Dog aspires to honor and loyalty, above all else, he vanishes into the wilderness, forsaking his family and friends. Troubled by inner demons and the pain of unrequited love, he becomes a tormented soul, lost with no purpose in life. With the help of his constant companion, Moonbeam, he strives to heal himself and reconcile his passions. During his physical and spiritual journey, he meets a young woman who must cope with a great loss of her own. Will she become his one true love, and can she restore Prairie Dog’s spirit and triumph over the memory of Amber?
