Christmas was in the air and something else, too. This day was sometimes marked as the Winter Solstice and though Sinead did not give it much thought, the atmosphere was charged with the Spirit of hope and anticipation. Though he does not trust the woman who mysteriously appeared before the deadly ambush, Jamie cannot resist the lure of the stranger who had come to save him.
