Cool: A Christmas with Him

“With their fingers entwined, Storie felt relaxed. He had memorized the feel of Valentine’s large hand and still, he longed for it just as he did the first time they touched. He could recount the curves and lines of the palm. His heart pounded in his chest so loudly amongst the humdrum buzzes of the city as they held hands under the glow of the streetlights.”

Storie, an art student who has been struggling his junior year at a prestigious university, has become sidetracked by his first relationship with a man, Valentine. Valentine isn’t just an any man though. He is known as the “perfect guy” and comes from a very wealthy family—exactly the opposite of Storie. This will be their first Christmas together and Storie wants it to be perfect.

With no money, Storie begins searching for work to buy Valentine a gift. He meets the cool and level headed, Mason, who also comes from wealth and resembles Valentine in many ways. Storie gets in over his head when he begins lying to Valentine and to make everything much worse, Mason makes his interest in Storie obvious. Valentine’s jealousy and Storie’s insecurities begin undoing the threads of their relationship. Can Storie and Valentine last through the holiday season?
