Along Came Trouble by Christine Wright
They never expected a phone call to bring them a chance at love.

Dr. Nick Foley, university head librarian, author, and Dom grows frustrated over a technical glitch with his latest book manuscript and places the fateful call to his publisher's hotline to get it fixed. Chatting with shy, twenty-year-old James Roland cheers him up far more than getting his problem addressed. That call had an unexpected effect on them both. For Nick, it sparks interest from the painful place his bruised heart had been in since his last relationship ended in disaster. Resigned to believing that the only things he gets from a relationship is hurt and betrayal Nick has decided he’s happier alone and won’t be looking for a new sub anytime soon, if ever. His friends can’t even talk him into going out on a vanilla date but Nick finds himself drawn in by the wary young man on the other end of the phone call.

The mysterious and sexy older man was everything James Roland had been hoping for.

James Roland, Jamie, is intrigued by Nicholas Richards and his books. That voice calling him 'good boy' in his ear is everything he’s imagined, but that is just a fantasy buried under the reality of his day to day life. Until the orientation for Library Research Services, when he hears that same voice calling his name from the front of the room and finds out that Nicholas Richards aka Dr. Nick Foley is everything a boy’s dream is made of. For Jamie falling into a relationship with the dominant yet kind and loving older man feels too good to be true. Jamie struggles with anxiety, and trouble follows him wherever he goes, and yet he wants nothing more than to kneel at Nick's feet and ask him to take care of him.

Learning to love and trust again would be hard, for them both.

Their dynamic holds hidden layers of submission and domination, fitting them together. Nick knows what he wants, and Jamie learns what he needs, and both of them struggle to move beyond past hurts. To get to their ‘happily ever after’ Jamie and Nick navigate the hazards of a relationship.

Throw in the antics of Nick’s best friend, one grumpy pug he never wanted, and a crazy kitten determined to rule their lives it will be a wonder if they don’t get lost along the way.
