An Equation For Love by Jayne Nichols
Lillian Moore is moonlighting. She has a secret life none of her friends or family know about, and when those unexpected calls come, often in the middle of the night, she is ready to drop everything and offer help. But even that is not enough for someone who feels useless in the face of an emergency and wants to do something important with her life. She is restless and yearning—for what, she doesn’t know.

When Lillian’s best friend convinces her to go back to college, she jumps at the chance for a new beginning. Complicating her new endeavor is her math professor, Samuel Weiss. He is twelve years her junior, and his interest in her goes far beyond tutoring. That her own feelings mirror his is even more troubling. What if he finds out about her secret life?

In the past, Sam has successfully avoided the marriage-minded co-eds he teaches. Now he’s finally found the one woman he wants forever. He just needs to persuade her that their age difference is meaningless. Problem is, Sam may never get the chance.

Can Lillian become Sam’s woman of the world or will a kidnapper destroy their chance to prove that X + Y = LOVE?

Author’s Note:

An Equation For Love is the re-written, shortened version of An Equation For Murder.
