Elizabeth, an American Widow in her 60s, in residence again at the Hotel Marcel in Paris, finds
an exciting romantic liaison. During her sojourn, she also encounters a deceptive English woman involved in art fraud, and a young African-American in search of his French father. Even a violent murder happens during her stay, and she witnesses the opening of a grand, new hotel next door, named The Majestic. This all takes place in the month of May in Paris, the City of Light.
