A LOVE STORY of two Air Force kids, Nathan and Laila, who fall in love in England while their fathers are stationed there. Afraid the Air Force transfers of their fathers will tear them apart, they find a way for their romance and love to survive despite all the odds. Nathan and Laila return to the United States and attend the University of Alabama together until Nathan has a horrible accident and is in a coma for two and a half years. Laila hangs on as long as she can with the doctors offering no hope for Nathan's recovery. Laila divorces Nathan to move ahead with her life, but she finds it impossible.
