Donald Harris works undercover and manages to kill a vampire who was killing young ladies in a series of deaths. This makes the other vampires eager to kill him. The chief of the local precinct also tries to force him to kill the rest of the vampires in New London. He decides that running away is his best way out, but while hiding in one of the deserted houses in the woods, he realizes that a vampire lives there.
Bowie Rivers is a vampire who was hurt by his human lover and is now hated by both humans and vampires. He lives a solitary life until one day, he arrives back home to find someone in his house, a human. Realizing that they have so much in common, man and vampire decide to work together to help clear themselves of their problems. After an attack, they also realize that they have an intense passion for each other.
