Wanted by Jennifer Kittredge
From the outside looking in, Kate Jones’ life looks picture perfect. Married to her college sweetheart, Daniel, who just happens to be the most powerful District Attorney in the city, 18-year-old twins who recently left for college, a beautiful home, her life is envied by everyone, yet Kate is absolutely miserable. Trapped in a loveless marriage, yet unwilling to leave for fear of what that would mean for her future, Kate is at a crossroads. She can stay in a marriage that is unfulfilling, where she feels unwanted and unloved, or make a huge leap to set off on her own, into the unknown. Kate’s life gets turned upside down when she surprises Daniel for lunch at his office and finds a young brunette straddling him.

Devastated, Kate flees to the small coastal town of Beaufort, South Carolina, to clear her head and heart. However, things become even more unclear as she finds herself face to face with the sexy, down to earth, charming bartender, Ryan Pierce. Ryan’s enchanting blue eyes, lazy smile and easy way have Kate wondering what it would feel like to be wanted by someone like Ryan. Kate doesn’t have to wonder long. The attraction she has for Ryan is intense. His Southern charm is impossible to resist. Ryan uncovers pieces of her she never knew existed. Most of all, Ryan makes Kate feel the one thing that’s been missing in her life, the one thing she’s been desiring: he makes her feel wanted. As Kate leaves Ryan to head home to her current reality, a reality she no longer desires, he vows to wait for her forever.

Once home Kate begins to rebuild her life although thoughts of Ryan dominate her mind. Kate longs for Ryan. When Ryan shows up unexpectedly in her hometown with another woman, Kate’s greatest fear is realized. Kate understands, once again, there’s no such thing as forever…. or is there?
