Raising Ninnaveh

By Sara Lindley

For generations the Moon of Veh served the Draconas as their source of wealth and trade for the Draconas Home World. All miners of Veh worked the mines digging out precious metals and jewels to build Dragon Horde and support the economy. Even their Lord worked the mines. All of Veh worked to bring wealth and economic growth and stability to commerce on their home world and their allies.

The present Lord of Veh, Ninnaveh, acquired the title from his father after he faded away through mourning the death of his mate. Ninnaveh was the youngest Lord to take control of Veh and no one really expected anything from him except his cousin, King Reihal.
That’s why when the King sent Ninnaveh a human ‘gift’; he didn’t hesitate to hurry to receive it with gratitude.
From the moment he entered the main hall of Veh House he had no idea that his life had just made a radical change. What he fully expected to be a male was the smallest and most lovely female he had ever seen. That wasn’t saying much since there were no females on Veh…till now.
He didn’t want females on his Moon. They only caused trouble.
They were worthless except for random sexual encounters. But there were sex droids available anytime a male had an itch to scratch.
She was so small, he was sure she would be broken somehow if she did have sex with a miner. It didn’t make any difference anyway. Ninnaveh was going to send her back.
There was no place for a female on Veh and he told her so, in so many words.
There was just one problem. He was fascinated with the small human. And he really couldn’t understand why.

They had started to fight immediately and within just a few minutes she had called him and asshole. And yet, she amused him.
The truth was soon discovered that alarmed them both. It happened when they touched hands. They both felt the electric jolt and the pull. The warmth of love and devotion spread up their arms to reside in their hearts. It couldn’t be true, but it was. The reality of them being ‘fated ones’ shocked them both. Then Mating Fever set in. Now what do they do?
