Roxi Harrier has been a caregiver most of her adult life, as a daughter, as a wife, and now for two rescue dogs. Her father has passed away and left her his rundown house in Star Cove. However, her mundane routine is upset when a widower moves in next door and brings all of his issues with him, including his grief and a rebellious daughter. It doesn't make things more simple when Roxi is straddled with another stray and meets Mike Ahrens, just recently out of jail and trying to start a new life. Roxi is torn between going back to her hometown in England or staying and trying to find a new happiness in this little coastal town.
