He doesn't want to believe that he cannot be trusted when his daughter's life is hanging in the balance.

Alec is suffering from hallucinations and speaks to his dead wife, but he still believes he is capable of doing this one last thing. Bonnie is depending on someone rescuing her, but fears time is fleeting before the wedding is going to take place. What happens when she finds love in a most unexpected way with a man that is haunted by the memory of his dead wife?

Alec and Bonnie will have to find a way to work together while having the English soldiers breathing down their neck. Staying one step ahead isn't easy and made more difficult by the feelings they are starting to have for one another. A misunderstood man and girl on the cusp of womanhood will try to forge a destiny together even with the odds against them. Can they overcome his haunted past and English justice to find love?
