Carlos: A Zambrano Crime Family Novel by Olivia Deici
Sit back, relax, & grab a Cuba Libre.

Come travel to South Florida, where the sun always shines-
Though not for the mafia families who run the Miami underground.

CARLOS

I saw her across the bar and I had to have her.

She was gorgeous.

And unexpected.

I knew I would get her up to my place for a night we would both remember. And after the most amazing night of our lives-

She snuck out on me.

Imagine my surprise when I came face-to-face with her and found out that she was my father’s doctor. And she was also best friend to my soon-to-be sister-in-law.

And she didn’t want a damn thing to do with me.

I pursued her like a dog in heat, and the more I did, the more I realized that the barriers she had erected around her weren’t walls at all- they were mountains.

Well, I grabbed my gear, and I was prepared to climb. I’d scale her mountains and conquer that heart.

But nothing was ever simple in my world. The woman who had caught my eye, and my heart, had a complicated past, and was somehow tangled in the underworld where my family and I ruled.

And worse- the underworld was heating up. A war was brewing, and I had to make sure that when it began percolating, that Cari wouldn’t get hurt.

CARI

I’d thrown caution to the wind. I didn’t engage in one-night stands, but I'd made an exception for a man I saw across a bar with the most magnetic electric-blue eyes.

They were amazing. HE was amazing.

I’d had a crummy day, and so what if I didn’t want my night to end the same?

It was only supposed to be one night- one fabulous, earth-shattering, reality-altering, night.

And then one day when I was consulting with the family of a patient of mine, he walked in.

And no matter how much I tried to push him away, he wouldn’t budge.

He was in for a wild ride, in more ways than one. I didn’t want a relationship, and I had more baggage than a fully booked international flight.

But no matter how hard I tried, he kept opening suitcases and sorting the contents.

Carlos made me feel . He made me live . He made me want more in life than just mere existence.

And for once in my life, I felt good, and I felt safe, even while a threat from my past reappeared.

So, I took that leap of faith and trust with him, only instead of landing on my feet, I landed on my head.

And nearly lost my mind in the process.

Carlos is a full-length 93,000+ word novel. There are no cliffhangers or cheating. This is a mafia crime family series, and each book will be building on one another, so there is a small storyline that continues and is ongoing in terms of the series, but not Carlos and Cari’s relationship. There will be other mob families introduced with a series of their own.

Not intended for readers under the age of 18.
