Island Green by Aya DeAniege
Every ending is a new beginning.

On the eve of what should have been the happiest day of her life, Laura’s world was shattered. Her fiancé left her for the woman she least expected: her own mother.

Long before the fated day, Laura had planned their honeymoon as her wedding gift. A two-month stay on Ulthia. A distraught Laura agrees to go ahead with the vacation because she knows it may be her only chance to visit the bioship. He is sent to the Star Resorts. Laura is offered a cottage on Mercy Island.

Mercy Island is a place of new beginnings. The seed biodome sits at the edge of Ulthia’s public domes but is not open to humans. Those Myans who tend the dome don’t take kindly to outsiders—whether those outsiders are Myan or human.

She is promised a cellar full of wine, a fridge full of food, a private beach just minutes away, and shelves of books. It is believed that she won’t be bothered while there, with two exceptions. The cottage comes with a dog, which Laura needs to care for, and her neighbour is a surly, scarred Myan who lives apart from his kind.

More importantly, she’s promised time, and a chance, to mend her broken heart.
