I love this author and the way she writes. Always keeps you on the edge of your seat just holding your breath to see what the line will bring out. This Romance starts in 1810 when the Clearances were the order of the day. Our hero and Heroine fight against these atrocities but the odds are insurmountable. Their love is doomed by the interference of family and their reincarnation into the present time is both interesting and believable. There is intrigue, sex and such descriptive writing - especially the priest's exorcism. That alone had me gripping the sides of my Kindle

I love books that go back and forth in time but only if the author is very good at what they do and uses a proper balance between the times. This author does that. This is the second book I have read by this author and I continue to be amazed at her ability to create wonderful characters that you can relate to along with an exciting storyline that keeps you turning the pages.
I was not familiar with the period of Scottish history that part of the story takes place in, so I feel like I also learned something. You can't beat that!
