When a tragic drowning accident destroys the perfect world of swimming prodigy and university student, Lan Basin, he swears off swimming for good. He experiences unprovoked hallucinations and nightmares as a repercussion. Unsure of what is fact and what is fiction, he can barely keep his head above water. Drowning in feelings of self-deprecation and humiliation, Lan dead his past by transferring to North Lake Vally University.

Lan lives his new life in solitude, avoiding relationships with his peers. But when he meets the kind and handsome Marko Pollock, captain of the swim team, he begins to question his need to keep others at an arm’s length. The closer he gets to Marko, the more he begins to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Lan soon finds himself in hot water when strange, unexplainable happenings begin to plague his life once again. His only lead to the mystery is a ghost. Come hell or high water, Lan is determined to unravel the sinister secrets that hide beneath the water.
