I was set to be wed before we jumped to FTL, but he called it off two hours before we went into hypersleep. I should be angrier than I am, but I have a bigger problem.
Earth has been dead for thousands of years. I was hoping to bring it back to life, but my colony ship was disabled by a mysterious alien race. Not just disabled, cut clean in half. My entire crew was missing or presumed dead and I was left hopelessly alone.
As my options run out, Vale, an alien from a domineering species called the Skeldi, kidnaps me from the ruined ship and claims he's going to help me reach Earth.
I can barely contain my attraction to the herculean alien, but the Skeldi are known for their monstrous desires and actions which doesn't make me feel exactly safe. I can't let my guard down, no matter how attractive he is, and no matter intoxicating the musk wafting off of him.
Trust runs thin as I'm trapped aboard a ship with an alien twice my size. Being stuck with him scares me, but I have to stay strong, I have a job to do. I hope he's as trustworthy as he claims.
Will Vale be able to control his primal desires, or will the scavenger give in and claim me as his prize?
