Devon shook his head in disgust. His blondish hair fell over his eyes in a shaggy puppy sort of way. “They are next door at the Taylor house. I told Jane that you would pick them up after you got off work.”
Jada wiped her tears away. Now was not the time to fall to pieces… she needed to keep her strength. Keep her composure. Keep her dignity. Keep her self-assurance. “How kind of you to make arrangements for your departure.”
