The Searcher: A Western Adventure (Tennyson St. John: The Searcher #2)
C. Wayne Winkle

Ten St. John continues his search for his father, this time heading for Las Vegas, NM, where he heard his father and a gunfighter, Noble Blake, were headed. But he doesn’t get there for a while.
He runs across more trouble with Apaches and scalp hunters. After rescuing an Apache woman, Lolotea, from scalp hunters, he takes her back to her village.
Along the way, he kills a mountain lion with a knife. This earns him a scar on his face and a new name: Lion Killer.
Lolotea nurses him through a severe infection and decides to travel with him. Circumstances prevent Ten from refusing this.
Several adventures in Las Vegas and Santa Fe, NM, and a trip through the wilderness to Phoenix, Arizona Territory, end up with one he thought a friend turning on him.
Still, he continues pursuing his father. And Noble Blake.
