Nova received her first mission from the Council of Paranormals: do some recon based on a few reports they’d received regarding the unclaimed territory of Seattle. Observe and report on the paranormals in the city and then wait for new instructions.
During her first night of recon she ran into a strange paranormal – a dangerous one if she was right, one she couldn’t quite place even with her hunter nose. Everything about him was strange and mysterious.
Dex couldn’t remember the last time anyone had interested him – the last time someone had walked into his place of business and he hadn’t known what they were. A new paranormal in his city could be bad news, so he followed her.
Nova was a strange witch – one even Dex couldn’t really understand. He didn’t get why she was so afraid of the light, how she controlled darkness the way she did, or that mysterious purple eye. But now that he knew what she was, there was no reason for him to keep talking to her, and yet, he couldn’t stop himself even if he tried.
Complicating his life was the last thing he needed, and she would no doubt do exactly that. This witch was going to get Dex killed if he wasn’t careful.
This is a steamy, paranormal romance and is NOT a reverse harem, but heavily features characters that are non-binary, LGBTQIA, and mental illness. This story is set within the Council of Paranormals universe. It is a standalone story and can be read without having read anything else. There is almost zero character crossover within this story except one major player.
