A soldier without a home.
A librarian with a deadly secret.
A pair of ruthless monster hunters.
Ever since returning from Vietnam, Darren has been haunted by the ghosts of his past. A chance encounter with a small-town sheriff lands him a handyman job at the local library, as well as hope that his wandering days may be over.
Ana is the town librarian. She, too, is running from the past. Content to be left alone, she becomes alarmed when Darren sets off her urge to reproduce, a desire that always comes with fatal consequences.
An already difficult situation is made worse when a pair of hunters from a mysterious organization arrive in town with one goal; making sure Ana remains the last of her kind.
Note: This work of fiction contains strong language and spicy sex scenes with a mythological being. Arachnophobics should skip this one
