Cougar Nights: A Pet Shop Series Novella by Lisa Seleska
Robin is a 42-year-old divorcee of four years who is determined to stay single after the abuse she was put through with her ex. When Robin is not doing CPA work out of her home, she is tending to all the animals at her pet sanctuary, Robin’s Rescued Rascals. She has a little bit of everything at her sanctuary including an orphaned cougar kitten she’s named Kuda. She loves living her life for the animals in Sun Valley, Nevada.
Erick is a 28-year-old Marine veteran working with his Uncle at Top Knotch Construction while mending his broken heart. His ex-fiancée, Bridgett, broke it off with him when he decided not to re-enlist. Erick finds solace while working at Robin’s Rescued Rascals with an elder husky who is blind in one eye, named Roscoe.
Being the foreman of the crew, Erick often must run questions by Robin and inform her of their progress. He begins to feel a tug on his heart strings, but can he really date someone that’s 14 years his senior? Can Robin get past what her ex put her through and find love with a younger man?
