After tragically losing everyone in my life that meant everything to me, I had nothing left to live for. Alone, penniless, desperate, I didn’t care whether I lived or died. I allowed myself to be converted to a weapon even the most powerful country in the world couldn’t contain. For years, I roamed where I pleased, assisted where there was a worthy cause, and otherwise minded my own business. And then the same misguided ideology that created me crashed into my path again. This time I did care about life. This time I had someone to fight for, someone I would level the world to protect.

My entire life had been a struggle, a fight that I had finally begun to conquer. And then some drunk driver struck me down and left me to die, broken beyond modern medicine to repair. I think I did die that day, only to become a test subject for fanatical scientists. They violated me when I was most vulnerable in the most egregious way another human being could violate another. After getting what they wanted from me, they tried to cover up their crime by killing me again. However, they hadn’t anticipated him. I hadn’t anticipated the obsession he would become.
Of course, they came after us. They should have thought of the ramifications of that. Their obsession created him, created us. They created a weapon meant to destroy, meant to be utilized only in the most dire circumstances, and then lost it. They had no idea what they were chasing!
