Hannah’s life hasn’t gone as planned. After marrying young and having a child, she realized the guy of her dreams was actually a nightmare. Jake just moved into the ranch next door. He spent many years in the military, until he was injured, and now he’s looking forward to some peace and quiet in the country. But, he’s having a hard time relaxing when his ranch is losing money.
When Hannah’s ex shows up at her job and harasses her, Jake, who happens to be in Hannah’s check-out line, steps in to help. Hannah is grateful and offers to lend Jake a hand with his ranch, since she has some experience.
Jake starts to fall for Hannah, but she doesn’t want to drag him into her mess. Plus, she has some serious trust issues. But, Jake’s actually been through similar issues in his own life and he understands Hannah better than she thinks. Besides, he’s determined.
