I knew how to ski. When I joined the University Ski Team, I skied circles around the others. During the winter break, the team headed to the local resort for a team building retreat and some practice. Things got a little rowdy one night and when I woke up the next day, I was in the hot ski instructor’s cabin. There’s no way to leave because of a massive snowstorm that hit overnight. Guess we better keep warm by the fire.

I could get fired. For the first time in my life, I had a job I loved, and it paid well. Skiing was for the wealthy, at least at this resort. And these spoiled ski rats paid handsomely. I stupidly helped one client out and let her sleep it off in my bed, while I took the couch. She’s beautiful, and I wondered what it would be like to kiss her. Then, the blizzard happened, and I was stuck. With her. And the more I got to know her, the more I wanted to kiss her.
