Hearts Desire by Andra Dill
What do you do when your father, Zeus—yes, Mt Olympus, God of the Sky, epic temper…that Zeus—wakes up after a millennium or two and discovers you’re no longer playing Muse, but are dancing in the spotlight yourself? Something he expressly forbade.

You decide to make a strategic retreat, of course!

Bliss (aka Terpsichore) leaves her beloved Paris and heads to Iowa (hopefully well out of lightning bolt range), where she reconnects with her many, many times great-granddaughter, Calla. Eager to appease Zeus and lift heart-broken Calla’s spirits, Bliss embraces her Muse aspect and sets about re-energizing her descendant’s dance studio.

A few workshops taught by a Prima Ballerina sounds like a simple plan. Until the students’ parents demand a recital as well. In between disastrous practices (who knew eleven-year-olds could be so difficult), Bliss gets sidetracked playing matchmaker. If she can pull off the recital, will inspiring small children and teenagers be enough to placate a cranky God?
