Beyond the Male: Male-to-Female Journeys by Habu
The journey from being fully male to being fully transformed male-to-female in gender is not an event; it’s a process. There are some who go the distance. There are many more who stop at some point along the route to this transformation and take on the lifestyle of that point. This is a collection of twenty-two stories habu has written over time as standalone works that include characters occupying one of the many points in this process. The anthology doesn’t attempt to be clinical or a defense of anything. The characters are just there in the stories, doing what they do. Habu offers the collection because there don’t seem to be many such anthologies of this nature available.

The layout of the anthology follows the “it’s a journey, a continuum process” theme. The first eleven stories of the anthology, constituting the “Cross-Dressing and In-Transition” section, deal with characters who have not gone the whole way in transformation, offering first those practicing no physical transformation but just enjoying dressing as female, and ending with whatever transformation that has been reached not including the exchange of male genitalia for female. The subsequent eleven stories of the “MTF Transformed” section include characters who have made the full male-to-female transformation.
