On the galactic periphery, family and friends are all Kimmy has as they eke out a living taking whatever mercenary jobs they can get. Kimmy's daughter is captured on a mission to protect a corporate moon. While defending her, Kimmy’s partner, Kita, barely survives her mech being cored. Now, Kimmy must lead her rag-tag band of mercenaries against one of the great powers in the universe to rescue her daughter.
If Kimmy is to succeed, she’ll need Kita, but she would rather die than live without her eyes and limbs. Convincing Kita otherwise will take all the will and love Kimmy has. She’s will take any job to pay for the care Kita needs—even raise the black flag. If Kimmy is to battle across the galaxy to rescue her daughter, she knows she needs Kita. She needs the God of Evil.
