Overlooked for career opportunities, despite being a good doctor, it is apparent that for some she is the wrong gender and color. Things might be changing, but she’s had enough. Enough of putting up with the condescension. Enough of being lonely. Enough of having no-one.
When she gets a message from her ex, and once best friend, to say that his beloved Gran has passed away, she drops everything to be with him and his daughter.
Is this an unselfish act, or is she hoping for something that can never be?
