I stopped by the abandoned warehouse to check out some suspicious activity that had been reported recently. I thought we had a homeless person or a very stupid thief, but nothing could have prepared me for her. Katya, AKA, the mafia princess of our sworn enemies.

I should kidnap her and hold her for ransom, or possibly send her back to her scheming family with a message for them to back off. Instead, I scoop up the terrified yet determined young woman and tuck her into my bed. I even make hot chocolate for her for some stupid reason.
