Now it’s time for summer break, but after multiple attempts on my life with my attacker still at large, it’s not looking like what I had hoped. Instead, the dean has arranged for me to spend the break in a small town, in an even smaller house where no one will know where to find me. At least I’ll have Satine, Maksim, Gavril and Declan with me. Which will not be awkward at all after kissing three out of the four of them.
Oh, and my Fairy Godmother? Yea, she doesn’t operate the way the classic tales say. She may offer up advice or make you shine in a bedazzled dress, but don’t expect for her to do all the work. If you want something, you have to earn it. And for someone that spends her nights hosting drag shows, it takes a lot to impress her.
So, here I am, not alone, but still with more problems than I can count. And much like the students back at Aradia, the locals are less than welcoming. Add in the feeling of being watched and the sudden storms that keep popping up, and it seems like this summer won’t be very relaxing after all.
