Book Description:
When the Norsemen Tjure and his big brother Leif raid a monastery on an Irish island in 945 AD, they capture Moja, a young Celtic woman, along with several monks.
Despite their atrocities, the warriors with the dragon ships seem well-disposed towards the girl, so that Moja's heart soon begins to beat for Leif.
In her new home, however, everything changes and Tjure quickly becomes the person Moja fears the most. But even though Tjure scares her so much, the warrior with the ice-blue eyes gradually forces his way into her dreams and deep into her heart, until he is the man whose affection Moja longs for the most...
Historical Background:
This Viking Dark Romance is set in the harsh early Middle Ages, where violence was commonplace. It is now well documented that slaves, especially children and women, were a popular commodity at the time, with people simply being captured rather than born into slavery. Furthermore, in much of Europe, women were married off at the age of 12.
This emotionally intense, dark love romance is a slightly romanticized portrayal of the historically documented reality, but not a rose-tinted love story, because times were just rough back then...
TW: This series of novels is based on historical research and is therefore not suitable for particularly sensitive people: The early Middle Ages were not a particularly romantic time, yet true love is said to have existed even then... Very sensitive readers should therefore consider reaching for another read instead, as this historically based story may disturb them!
Readers interested in history can rest assured that themes of enslavement and violence are told in such a way that they should remain bearable. After all, Moja can not only enjoy her forced submission to the—at least towards her—not so brutal Viking brothers Leif, Tjure and Erik, but also soon deeply long for it...
This novella is a dark prequel to the Viking romances “Time of Conquest” and “Viking Heart”, which have not jet been published in English and are expected be published during the year of 2023.
“Time of Conquest” describes a later period in the lives of the same characters with focus an the life of Erik and told out of Erik’s perspective.
“Viking Heart” is told by Tjure and goes on with the love story between Tjure and slave Moja, about seven years later nach dem Ende von “Captured, Enslaved, Seduced By The Vikings”.
The three short novels can be also read independently.
⭐ This novella is part of the series "Historical Dark Romance Novellas" narrated by Alicia Schwarz. The novellas in this series are self-contained, based on historical research, and contain love scenes. ⭐
