A Breaking Wave

Set in the late 1970s, a period of great personal freedom and exploitative working arrangements.

A young doctor, Richard starts his first job and immediately finds himself skating close to the edge of his competency. He is on an emergency call, when meets a young nurse giving first aid at the scene.
It takes a while, but eventually he recognises that the much more worldly-wise nurse can do more for him than just pass him a scalpel, mop his brow and say "Well done Doctor, you saved his life ..."

Thus begins a journey that will test not only the brakes of a 1973 Austin Maxi but the strength of their relationship as Richard gets close to the edge of his skills and mental stamina.
