Aaron Miller is adapting to his new surroundings and the ordnung, he’s even started making friends. One in particular- Maggy Graber even challenges his perceptions constantly by defining her faith and way of living, she does such a good job of it that Aaron can see that the Amish way of living is appealing.

But old ways are hard to break, and Aaron is still a teenager. Aaron resents being told how to dress and what you can and cannot do. Just a few months ago he was the man of his household, taking care of his mother and handling all the bills on his own. He doesn’t understand why he can’t do something now as simple as decide what clothes to wear or sing his favorite songs.

Will this new lifestyle suffocate Aaron or will he be able to thrive?
